Work permits and labour contracts

Mainland employers need a valid work permit and a registered employment contract for every employee. We manage applications, renewals, amendments and cancellations with MOHRE.

Common work permit types

Issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) for mainland employers.

Recruitment from abroad

For hiring an employee from outside the UAE.

Transfer

For hiring an employee who is moving from another UAE employer.

Part-time and temporary

For part-time arrangements or temporary assignments.

Sponsored residents

For residents sponsored by a family member who take up employment.

Students and trainees

For training or student work placements, subject to conditions.

Self-employment

Permits for freelancers and self-employed professionals, where eligible.

Employment contracts

Every mainland employment contract must follow the UAE Labour Law and be registered with MOHRE. Contracts set out the job title, salary, working hours, leave and notice terms. We prepare and register contracts and update them when terms change.
